The Canadian Council for the Americas – Alberta (CCA-Alberta) is an independent not-for-profit, industry-based group dedicated to promoting trade between Alberta businesses and Latin America.  Its Board of Directors typically represents a cross section of industry, and also includes representatives from various levels of government.

Since its inception in 1993, CCA-Alberta has consistently delivered high quality high impact member events such as:

• Substantive presentations by:
  • top enterprises in the region such as PETROBRAS and PEMEX,
  • governments, such as presentations from the governor of the province of Nequen (Argentina) and the governor of the state of Pernambuco (Brasil)
  • multilateral organizations such as the InterAmercian Development Bank and the World Bank
  • lawyers and financial analysts explaining current affairs in the region
  • Alberta businesses willing to share their success stories and their know-how

• Member networking events such as the bi-annual Breakfast of the Americas run in conjunction with the Global Petroleum Show, the gala Dinner of the Americas, along with the related forum for presentation by numerous ambassadors working in the region.

CCA-Alberta originally started as an independent chapter of the Toronto-based Canadian Council for the Americas.  When the CCA in Toronto closed its doors in 2002, our organization changed its name to the current CCA-Alberta, and continued delivering high impact events.  CCA – Alberta has worked in conjunction with CCA-British Columbia to deliver Dinner of the Americas programs in Vancouver.
